The most prestigious work in the museum is the “Madonna with Child and St. Giovannino” by Cola Filotesio. (Oil painting on wood panel 120cm x 87cm). Signed and dated on the upper right hand corner – Cola Phijlostesios MDXXVII

The Processional Cross from Pinaco, 65×45 cm in gilded copper with silver figurines in high relief, is by Pietro Vannini. The front has the Crucifix in the center, a Saint at the top, the Madonna on the left, St. John the Apostle on the right, and Maria Magdalene at the bottom. The back side has God the Father in the center, St. Peter on top, St. Fortunato Bishop at the bottom, and the ox (symbol of St. Luke) and lion (symbol of St. Mark) at the sides.

The Processional Cross from Preta, 60 cm high, is also by Pietro Vannini. The front has a finely modeled Crucifix, and at the tips of the arms, half-length sculpted figures of the Virgin, St. John, a Bishop and God the Father. The back side contains a high-relief of the symbols of the four evangelists: the angel of St. Matthew, the ox of St. Luke, the lion of St. Mark and the eagle of St. John.

Madonna and Child, second half of the 13th Century, wood 126×52 cm. Origin: Cossito.

The work is of great artistic interest, and from a stylistic point of view, is linked to the Umbria-Marche current around the second half of the 13th Century. It contains noticeable influences from Umbria and Spoleto.
